Investigating the Mines is a main Quest in Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition. This quest is in itself simple, but it requires you to do an additional quests in between to proceed to the end of this quest. This additional quest is Miner Control.

Another interesting point to note is that unlike most other parts in Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition, the Mines become inaccessible at the end of the quest. Therefore it is best to explore and loot what you can BEFORE you finish the quest.

Objectives

1. Start the quest by talking to the White Witch at your Homestead after completing the quest Find the Witch
2. Find your way to the Mines
3. Defeat the goblins on your path
4. Kill the Cultists at the entrance
5. Avoid the Death Knights (They are immortal)
6. Sneak past the knights and explore the Mines
7. Complete Miner Control quest to obtain the password to the Temple gates
8. Once completed, then say "Sadakandras" to the gates to unlock them
9. Talk with Leandra and flee towards the mirror portal while in combat mode with the Knights
10. Use the mirror to enter the library. Then loot it.
11. Enter High Priest's office through the next mirror and then loot everything there, including Leandra's Spell.
12. Teleport to "The Sun Outside" to leave the Mines and complete the quest.
