Miner Control is a main Quest in Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition. This quest is required to obtain the password to the Temple Gates that you need to unlock to continue in the other main quest - Investigating the Mines.

This quest is rather straightforward. The quest is initiated by walking past Undead Miners inside the Luculla Mines.

Objectives

  1. Observe Undead Miners to obtain the quest
  2. Head northwest from the entrance to find a destroyable rock blocking a path
  3. Enter the path to find The Immaculates / Cultists inside guarding a Totem
  4. Talk with the Immaculates and win the Charisma gain for extra XP
  5. Destroy the Totem
  6. Defeat the Immaculates
  7. Speak to the Undead Miners to complete the quest

 

Walkthrough

  • The quest is initiated by walking past Undead Miners inside the Luculla Mines. As you will discover, the miners are apparently held here against their will by those pesky Immaculates.
  • Your task is to free them by defeating the Immaculates.
  • Head northwest from the entrance to the Mine to find a destroyable rock blocking a path
  • Use your sword or other means to destroy the rock and clear the path.
  • Go inside to find a bunch of Immaculates guarding a Totem.
  • You can win the Charisma game to win some extra Charisma XP by convincing them you are on their side.
  • Destroy the Totem. (This can be done before or after the fight. But must be done to complete the quest.)
  • Return to the Undead Miners and speak with them. As a show of gratitude for freeing them, they will grant you the password ("Sadakandras") to the Temple Gates deeper Eastwards in the Mine.
  • Congratulations, you have completed the quest. You may now proceed to complete the Second Half of Investigating the Mines.
