There are pumpkins and then there are pumpkins "in natural habitat", the icon has leaves in it. I cannot cook with the latter. I've tried using a mallet, a cook pot, a stove, a stove+cookpot, a knife, nothing removes the leaves, or "natural habitat", and makes them cookable.
