Two branches creates a wooden staff, mine was worth 1k. I'm missing details what you can make of a branch here

Branch will be created along with with wood chips. just check weapon armor inventory

The recipe this page states is for wood chips, don't know if branches can be crafted but this certainly is not it.

2 branches and wood chips are made from using an axe on a LOG. 2 branches can be combined with good crafting to make a staff who's value and power equals your level so make sure to buy every LOG you find from vendors or loot, at higher levels you can craft some nice staffs very easy for profit or for a basic mage character to use. A great money maker or decent staffs for later in the game so ALWAYS buy and keep all LOGS you find and save them up, just like ore and metal bars which you can craft ever better weapons for use or selling.
