Classes are templates for players in Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition. When starting the game, the player will create two individual characters, one male and one female, who will be the main heroes of the game. Many aspects of the classes can be altered, both gameplay choices ( Attributes, Abilities, etc) and cosmetic choices (gender, skin color, hair style, portrait icon, etc). All characters start with 5 points in each Attribute. Each character gets 5 more Attribute points, 5 Ability points, and 2 Talent points to spend as they see fit.

All Ability points must be spent upon leaving the character creation screen, or else they are forfeited. This is to prevent a character from putting all of their Ability points in one skill, reaching skill level 3 by character level 2. In this situation, a character would be able to reach skill level 5 one character level earlier.

Choosing a particular class affects the starting gear and items a player has. Each character will always have a source hunter backpack, 200 gold, a minor healing potion,a resurrect scroll, a paper with the character's orders, and a book on the history of source hunters. One character starts with Zandalor's Trunks and a Golden Grail. Melee characters also get a grenade.

See Builds  for more ideas on how to allocate points on your character.

lmao why are some of you so mad at what gender models are used for each class here. like gender doesn't determine which class you can be - e.g: women can be knights and men can be witches.

also to all of you saying witches should be women and men should be wizards: this isn't like harry potter. read the descriptions! they're not gender variants of the same class - they're completely different classes!

Why there are 7 female and 5 male models? It should be equal both 6/6, as the Knight should be male, then the Ranger female, Rogue male, Shadowblade female, Wayfarer male, Witch female and lastly Wizard male.
